  • pan


  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 block tofu extra firm
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp black salt kala namak


  • Dice onion and garlic finely
  • Add oil to medium heat pan
  • Fry onions until translucent
  • Add garlic to pan and fry for a dew seconds
  • Add nutritional yeast
  • Mix and fry together for a minute
  • Crumble in the block of tofu – there is no need to press
  • Mix and fry together for a few minutes
  • Add the pepper and black salt
  • Mix well, you can add a few tbsp of water here to help distribute the spices
  • Leave to fry for a few minutes until excess water has evaporated and the tofu becomes nice and yellow
  • Turn heat off
  • Sprinkle black salt and stir
  • Enjoy!
